Fintech Consultants was engaged to assist BT Wholesale in the design and delivery of an EChannel Sales Catalogue web portal application.
This project provided a portal-based web application which enabled BT Wholesale's customers to place and track orders for a variety of products and services provisioned by a number of external service partners. The aim of the solution was to broaden BT Wholesale's sales channels to incorporate self-service ordering/tracking via the internet thereby driving additional revenues into BT Group.

The completed solution included sophisticated use of BEA WebLogic Portal J2EE technologies including EJB, XML, XSL, JSP for high-throughput, high-availability businesss-to-business (B2B) transactions. Process orchestration was achieved through integration into BEA WebLogic Integration. Extensive integration was completed into third party Service Partner interfaces using a combination of SOAP web services running against WebMethods and complex JMS-based interfaces into Siebel CRM applications.
The initial phase of delivery encompassed over 5 man years of development effort. Following the successful implementation of the initial technology solution on time and on budget, Fintech Consultants have been engaged to further develop the platform to support additional Service Partner offerings.
